Read the FAQs for each forum specifically before posting!

While this is on the Internet, these forums are not a democracy. We have rules, and we expect them to be followed.

If you have a problem with a mod, take it to a PM first rather then a thread.

Respect the staff. They have given a lot of their time and energy to work here. Disrespect and insults will be considered flaming.

Do not use weird colors when posting! Easy colors like light-yellow are okay to highlight a few things, but try to use the standard color as much as possible. Weird colors are hard to read, and you don't want to be responsible for someone having to have an eye operation.

Do NOT drag the entire staff into your problems. We can't stress this one enough. If you have a problem with someone, whether it's a member acting improperly towards you or a mod having done something unfair, ALWAYS DISCUSS THE ISSUE WITH THE PERSON INVOLVED BEFORE GOING TO A(NOTHER) STAFF MEMBER FOR HELP. Sure, the staff is here to help, but in most cases you'll be able to solve whatever problem you have by speaking to the person involved. The staff is here to moderate the forum and make sure the rules are followed, but we are not here to baby you.

While your opinion is valued and acknowledged, this is not and will never be a debating forum. Threads on politics, religion and other controversial topics are discouraged because they usually lead into an argument between members. Discussion is okay, and so is disagreeing, but some members are intent on starting heated arguments about things and that always ends in a lot of bitterness and tension. The staff is here to help keep the forum focused on roleplays; we don't need a flame war to distract people from that. Please don't register to the forum assuming you can change or alter these guidelines. You won't be appreciated for making our jobs harder; you will be either ignored or banned for disregarding the forum rules.

Elitist behavior is not permitted. This includes members telling others what to do. No member has the right to boss another member around and/or tell them what to do. If you feel someone is being elitist towards you and/or bossing you around and/or telling you that you're doing things wrong, you have the right to report them to the staff. Likewise, if you think someone is breaking the rules just use the REPORT button; don't tell them to stop breaking them, as they have the right to report you for it. Incidentally, the REPORT button works for pms as well, not just for posts.

The signature size-limit is 500 pixels broad and 220 pixels high. This includes all images and all text. Any signatures or part of signatures that would make it too big can be placed in spoilers. Whenever a member of the staff spots a large signature, it'll be put in spoilers and you'll be notified that your signature is too big.

1 - 2 week ban (based on maliciousness).

Flamers.
"Flaming is the hostile and insulting interaction between Internet users."

Advertisers.

Punishments


IP ban and removal of account.



Dummy Accounts.

Punishments


Automatic removal of your private messaging privilege upon suspicion.

IP ban and removal of account if found to be malicious.

Removal of PM ban if accusations are found to be untrue.



Elitist, cultist, and cliques.

Punishments


Warning.

Monthly ban.

IP ban and removal of account.



Avatar & Signature rule breaker.
Avatar limit: 150 x 150 or 35 kb
Signature limit: 500 x 220 (this includes all images and all text) or 35 kb.

Punishments


Warning.

Avatar and/or signature privilege removed for 2 weeks.

Avatar and/or signature privilege removed permanently.



Inappropriate behavior. (NSFW posts, file-sharing, childish actions, etc.)

Punishments


Warning and editing of post/name/etc.

Monthly ban.

IP ban and removal of account.



Chat Logs.
No instant messenger / irc / live chat logs are to be posted on the site.

Punishments


Warning and deletion of post/thread.

Monthly ban.

IP ban and removal of account.
